Primera Technology has added the fastest yet label printer to its portfolio of colour desktop devices. The new LX910e also offers what the company describes as ‘the lowest ink prices ever’ and has the ability to print with either dye-based or pigment-based inks.
Designed for a variety of labels in sizes from 19mm to 21cm wide, the printer runs at up to 11.4cm/sec using one single CMY ink tank. As an example, a 10.16 x 7.62cm label with 50% coverage can be printed in three seconds.
Typical applications include product labels for coffee, wine, water, bakery, confectionery, meat, cheese and other speciality and gourmet foods. The printer is also suitable for manufacturing, laboratory, security, government, retail and a wide variety of other markets.
New printheads are built-in as part of the high-capacity ink cartridge and the printer is encased in a steel case for higher durability. It comes with up to 24 months’ warranty (12 months as standard with 12 months added on registration of the product).
