The management team cuts the ribbon at the official opening

A new demo centre and further expansion of its Warsaw premises have been unveiled by converting machine specialist, Grafotronic, as the company continues its push into the digital finishing arena.

Following its customer open house event, the Future of Finishing Days, the company held its annual agents’ meeting and staged the official inauguration of the extended factory, which now covers nearly 2400sqm. The site was established in 2015 and has already been extended before. It will now also be the home for demonstrations of the company’s range of converting equipment.

Amongst the machines on show was the flagship DCL2 line, which has been specifically designed for converting digitally printed labels, and the more compact CF2 and the ‘super’ compact SCF2, along with laser cutting from Spartanics, the Gigafast die-cutting module and a new Q-Load automatic side-loading die-cutting unit.

The digital sector now accounts for a large part of sales for the Swedish company. Mattias Malmqvist, vice president sales and marketing, said, ‘Customers around the world are crying out for an alternative and we want to be that alternative.’

Focusing on full modularity and fast delivery, Grafotronic is positioning itself in the market with a future-proof concept that enables customers to upgrade machines as needed. It is working closely with digital press manufacturers, including HP which is installing a new 6900 press in the demo centre.
