Novio Packaging Group is joining forces with Scandinavian Packaging A/S. The Danish packaging company will continue to trade under its present name, until 1 January 2019 when it becomes Novio Scandinavia.
The recently established packaging group already counts Oosterbeek Packaging BV, Alpha Packaging International BV, Maer Flexibles BV, Maer Hong Kong Ltd and FehnPolycap GmbH as its members. It will use this merger to expand its distribution channels into Scandinavia, and also broaden the range of services and products on offer, in particular in the field of food and pharmaceutical packaging.
‘Now that our territorial range also includes Scandinavia, we will be able to achieve even better European coverage,’ explained directors of Novio, Marck Jansen and Erik Trum. ‘This move will also increase the international efficiency and buying power of both parties. The values of Scandinavian Packaging: quality, reliability and understanding, will without further doubt strengthen our brand.’
Bjarke Arlø, CEO and partner of Scandinavian Packaging, added, ‘With the support of the Novio Packaging Group, we will be able to continue the growth and development of our business. We can hardly wait to introduce so many new products and services to our Scandinavian customers. It is a perfect match.’
Scandinavian Packaging has been manufacturing and distributing packaging materials for the food and personal care industry since 1946. The company has tripled its sales since 2009 and currently employs 42 people. Under the management of Hanne Zinck and Bjarke Arlø, it will continue to develop its business from Borup, Denmark. There are no plans for staff changes.
