Belgium-based St-Luc Labels & Packaging has taken an additional HP Indigo 20000 digital press into service. It is the first printing company in the Benelux to install two of HP’s flexible packaging presses, which it is using to deliver digitally printed foil.
The company has been active in the field of packaging for over 20 years. It has three locations and produces self-adhesive labels, booklet labels, folding cartons, shrink sleeves and foil packaging.
Vivian Cohen, brands and creatives manager at HP Indigo, said, ‘Packaging is the only medium that consumers cannot avoid. And it’s the last opportunity for brands to persuade consumers to buy their product. Thus it offers an excellent opportunity for brands to communicate.’
With its latest investment, St-Luc can respond to the demand from customers for access to packaging quickly and efficiently. Managing director Niko Dhondt said, ‘If necessary, we can deliver in 24 hours. By offering digital packaging printing we can print, laminate, cut and deliver packaging within 10 days. With conventional printing that flexibility is much more expensive or not even feasible.’
