Grafotronic has chosen to work with Spartanics as supplier of laser cutting technology for its finishing equipment. This new partnership is part of the strategic growth plan within digital finishing for the Swedish manufacturer and will see integration of the Spartanics X350 laser into Grafotronic’s machines.
‘We continuously extend our range of modules for our modular digital finishing machines,’ said Mattias Malmqvist, vice president. ‘We have been looking for the right laser solution and the Spartanics laser was the perfect fit for us. This new laser module can be added to existing Grafotronic machines in the field or be a part of a new converting line.’
The new laser module will be on show at Labelexpo, where it can be seen on a DCL2 Modular Digital Finishing Line on the Grafotronic stand.
Vice president of marketing at Spartanics, Mike Bacon, commented, ‘We are very excited about this new partnership as we continue to make advancements in laser die cutting technology. Grafotronic will be another good fit for the X350 laser module with their ability to reach further into Europe and the rest of the world.’
Spartanics offers a variety of laser cutting solutions that have been fully integrated into a number of digital printing solutions, including partnerships with Durst and INX International. The core laser technology is controlled by software that includes custom workflows, barcode reading for automatic changeover and Fastline one-click set up.
