Screen-look white printed with the new Digital Plus Screen module
Labelexpo will see the debut of a digital alternative to rotary screen-printing from Mark Andy. A new inline print module, Digital Plus Screen, has been developed to deliver highly opaque white digital print.
The module offers single-colour digital UV inkjet printing and can be integrated into the company’s Performance Series flexo presses. It gives users the ability to create dimensional, opaque prints without the capital costs, set-up constraints and extensive cleaning needed with traditional screen printing technologies.
Designed with UV inkjet printing with interstation pinning, the module prints fine text, barcodes, sequential numbering and screen-like white ink in a single-pass at speeds up to 73m/min. It is available both as a rail-mounted option on new equipment or as a retrofit.
The inline digital print station will be shown in Brussels on the latest Performance Series P7 press platform, with live demonstrations held daily on stand.
