The Truepress Jet L350UV+LM is one of two new inkjet presses to be launched at Labelexpo
Screen is launching two new UV inkjet label presses aimed at food packaging at Labelexpo.
The Truepress Jet L350UV+ and the Truepress Jet L350UV+LM both offer print speeds of up to 60m/min and a wider colour gamut enabled by a new orange ink in addition to CMYK and white. Each system’s transfer section can also be equipped with an optional chill roller for cooling thin substrates that are particularly susceptible to the heat generated by the UV lamp.
The Truepress Jet L350UV+LM uses newly developed low migration (low permeability) inks that offer enhanced safety and includes a nitrogen purge mechanism for accelerating the curing of UV inks to further prevent ink migration and UV odour. The L350UV+ press was developed for high-end, high-speed label production and according to the company ‘offers superior productivity, substrate compatibility, colour reproduction, operability and other advanced features that provide a significant edge over conventional technologies in a wide range of fields.’
‘We announced our first specialised digital label press, the Truepress Jet L350UV system, in 2013. Delivering world-class print speeds of up to 50 m/min, the combined quality, productivity and substrate compatibility attracted significant attention, adoption continues to grow internationally as does its excellent reputation,’ commented Bui Burke, senior vice president sales. ‘Screen will continue its development of systems designed to meet the needs of the label printing industry, we’re fully committed to the stable, long-term growth of the sector.’
