The Boomerang range of single-operator folder-gluers will now be distributed in the UK & Ireland by ipack solutions.
‘We think that Boomerang will be well received by carton makers, trade finishers and commercial printers alike, and we are delighted to have agreed the sole UK & Ireland distribution rights,’ commented John Hall, managing director.
‘They are easy to maintain and they have a much smaller footprint than conventional folder gluers – the Boomer 4 is less than six metres long – so it can easily be added alongside existing lines,’ he added.
The concept of the Boomerang models is that the stream of folded and glued products returns to the feeder end of the machine, allowing the single operator to both feed the machine and pack the finished products. The Boomerang range, comprising of the Boomer 4, 5 and 6 depending on size, handles blanks from 50 to 650 mm wide, in materials up to 800 gsm cartonboard and N, F or E-flute, and can run straight-line blanks at up to 20,000 boxes per hour.
