Trojanlabel has found success with its streamlined portfolio of equipment
Danish manufacturer of digital printing machines, Trojanlabel, has recorded a 60% growth rate in its third year of trading. With a turnover of over DKK 50 million (£6 million+) and a profit margin of 10%, the rapid growth is expected to continue, according to CEO Mikkel Wichmann.
He said, ‘We aim to develop solutions which are the answer to the challenges our customers face, and not solutions which comprise all the dazzling features that everybody could wish for. These would eventually complicate the solution and increase the cost of the final product. And we do that without compromising the quality which is essential to most of our customers.’
To accomplish this, Trojanlabel has established a production facility in China with 25 dedicated employees, where the presses are produced and assembled. Design and innovation take place in Denmark.
‘The accessibility of the products does not only concern their presence in the market and their affordability but, just as much, the ease of use,’ said Mr Wichmann. ‘The equipment is easy to install due to the compact design, and the software is so simple that you can start producing right out of the box. Training and habituation is almost redundant. All the advanced mechanics are controlled and designed by Trojanlabel and the touchscreen interface makes the operation very easy.’
He concluded, ‘We are paving the way for an interesting new behaviour in the label printing market, where manufacturers, contract packagers, print shops and even brand owners are taking on label printing because this allows them to do small series, just in time, for fast distribution with variable data and a quality which supports their business.’
