Hoessein Hadaoui, CEO of Telrol. The investment will increase the company’s capacity to serve the European market.
Label printer Telrol Group, based in the Netherlands, has signed for six Xeikon CX3 presses, giving Xeikon one of the biggest deals in its company history.
The decision to extend Terol’s digital capabilities and invest in the five-colour 1200dpi CX3 was based on the press’s ability to produce high quality print with standard conventional substrates. The CX3 has a top speed of 30 m/min and in addition to the standard CMYK + white, the fifth station can be used to print gamut extension colours or security colours without reducing productivity.
‘Investment in new Xeikon technology gives us a head start in the industry,’ said Hoessein Hadaoui, CEO of Telrol. ‘Being a critical business partner, Xeikon involves us in the development of their technology.’
‘This huge investment in Xeikon technology is a great endorsement for the print production quality possible,’ commented Wim Maes, president of the digital printing solutions division of Flint Group. ‘Telrol offers a broad range of labelling solutions, covered by various printing technologies going from flexo to digital. The further expansion in digital fits with the general trends in the market of increasing diversification. This in turn drives the need for more flexible production processes in digital printing.’
