Stora Enso’s CKB Nude paperboard offers an artisanal look and feel
At FachPack in September, Stora Enso launched a new paperboard called CKB Nude.
The product is designed to meet consumer preferences for renewable, recyclable and sustainable materials with a natural look and feel and is suitable for a wide range of end use applications, from food packaging to beverages, cosmetics and luxury thanks to its durability, light weight and converting and printing quality.
‘Made from pure virgin fibre, CKB Nude is a safe choice not only for food packaging, but also for many other products,’ said product manager Essi Lauri. ‘As an uncoated, brown board, CKB Nude has an eye-catching organic appeal to consumers who favour sustainable, natural products. The material provides opportunities to differentiate a brand on the shelf, and the appearance of the packaging can enhance the organic perception of the packaged product.
Manufactured in a strict production process similar to liquid packaging board, the paperboard is produced without any coating chemicals. It offers the same stiffness and strength of the entire Stora Enso CKB product family, as is available in 205, 230 and 255 gsm basis weights.
