Niels Stenfeldt (L), vice president EMEA and global brand sales, and Armand Gougay, his predecessor

Niels Stenfeldt has been promoted to vice president EMEA and global brand sales at Esko. He replaces Armand Gougay, who retires after 27 years at the company.

Having joined the company in May as vice president responsible for global brand sales, Mr Stenfeldt’s expanded role now sees him leading Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) across all functions. Mr Gougay will remain until the end of the year to ensure a seamless transition.

‘We are extremely grateful for the critical role Armand has played in the success and growth of Esko over the years,’ said Udo Panenka, president. ‘We wish him the best in his retirement. Although his shoes will be hard to fill, we are confident that Niels will bring the strong leadership and commercial expertise helping our organisation to continue our growth path into the future.’

Mr Stenfeldt has a broad background in business development strategies across the EMEA region. Prior to joining Esko, he was the vice president, business network EMEA at Open Text. He has also held managing director and CEO roles at, respectively, Columbus A/S and Evenex, and spent three years as a global vice president at SAP.

‘I look forward to helping expand the business even further,’ said Mr Stenfeldt. ‘I am especially looking forward to working directly with both brand owners and converters as well as premedia/tradeshops to help them address the many challenges they face in the market today.’
