The new Digital One four colour press from Mark Andy
At Labelexpo Americas 2016, Mark Andy will debut Digital One, a new entry-level digital printing and converting label press, which the company said will make digital printing more accessible to the everyday converter.
The new press has been designed to print short run prime labels with inline converting at a low investment level and offers four colour printing at a 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution, which is combined with a single flexo station for inline converting and decorating. Featuring aircooled UV LED curing and an onboard compressor, the Digital One requires only a 220v single phase power source.
Manager of business development, Tim Brasher, believes that the Digital One will go hand in hand with the company’s strategic growth initiatives, providing superior, productive digital solutions to a wider range of markets and converters. He said, ‘Demands for digital capabilities are steadily increasing. Digital One is a viable solution for converters allowing them to engage with more customers and seek more opportunities to generate revenue for their businesses.’
Mr Brasher continued, ‘Labelexpo Americas will be the worldwide commercial debut for Digital One. Demonstrating ease of use with simple inline converting and decorating, it will prove to be an affordable and approachable digital solution ideal for prime label production.’
The press will start shipping in December 2016 in North America and to the rest of world in the first quarter of 2017.
