The Tau 330 UV inkjet label press with expanded converting options
At Labelexpo Americas, Durst will be unveiling a new digital label printing line that integrates the Tau 330 UV inkjet label press with near-line pre- and post press finishing.
This new offering has been developed by Durst in cooperation with Italian flexo press manufacturer Omet and features a near-line primer station and post press converting options.
The Tau 330 platform is a UV inkjet label press with more than 100 installations worldwide. It features a 330 mm print width, up to seven colours (CMYK+OVW) and offers printing speeds of up to 48 m/min with up to 1260 dpi print resolution. The new hybrid configuration promises to expand material flexibility for a vast range of applications and to offer cost savings.
Also to be shown for the first time in the US will be the new budget-priced, single pass Tau 330 E UV press featuring high pigmented UV inks for reduced ink consumption, especially designed for the small and medium sized label converters.
