A high-speed module for the Digicon 3 finishing line has been developed by AB Graphic International. The new semi-rotary die-cutting unit, named Fast Track Die, will be launched at Dscoop Israel from 6–8 April and Dscoop Texas from 14–16 April.
‘We are very proud of this world first,’ said Tony Bell, sales director. ‘The Fast Track Die can run at speeds of up to 150 metres per minute in semi-rotary mode, with a repeat range of 250 to 508 mm.’
He added, ‘With digital presses running faster, and a trend towards inline finishing, there is a definite demand for higher speed die-cutting.’
