The new label shape aims to give distinction to the brand
Label Apeel is behind a striking new look for Warner Edwards which first employed the label printer’s services back at the launch of its business and Harrington’s Dry Gin a few years back.
The micro distillery introduced the new look range late last year, comprising Elderflower Gin, Dry Gin, Sloe Gin and Rhubarb Gin, and for the labels it once again turned to the Leicester-based printing company.
Printed on Label Apeel’s HP Indigo WS6800 digital press and finished on the Digicon line, the new labels and packaging is aimed to push premium quality cues and underline the gins’ British craft provenance, as well as highlighting the botanicals used in each of the products.
Karen Capey, business manager for wines, beers and spirits at Label Apeel, explained why the labels are an intrinsic part of the brand, ‘The cigar band style labels are printed on a beautiful textured paper called Epique – front and neck, and we’ve used a lighter bronze foil. The unique label shape aims to give distinction to the brand and also represent the story of the meeting of the owners, Sian and Tom, which is shown in the use of the English Lion and Welsh Dragon.’
The new packaging can be seen on shelves in the likes of Fortnum & Mason, Harvey Nichols, John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, Booths, amongst many others.
