The new WS6600 at Bramwell Labels
The Bramwell Label Company has installed an HP Indigo WS6600 digital press, alongside a Digicon Series 2 finishing line from AB Graphic International.
A successful producer of wet glue paper labels in the UK, Bramwell has been printing labels in Trafford Park for 20 years. The company produces over 80 million labels every month for leading food and drink manufacturers, and prides itself on delivering a high quality end-to-end service.
Despite this successful business model, an increasing demand for self-adhesive labels and plastic sleeves has meant that the company faced some challenges over the last few years.
‘We were seeing a steady decline in the wet glue label market. This was having a significant impact on our business, despite our efforts to remain competitive,’ said sales manager Peter Bramwell. ‘We determined that introducing digital printing services could give us the edge we needed and decided to explore the viability of adding digital to our offering.’
The press and finishing line were installed in November last year and the company reports that it is already seeing the benefits, and that new markets and revenue opportunities have opened up as a result.
