Fujifilm will be showcasing the ‘power of inkjet’ for label and packaging applications at the NEC Birmingham on 25-26 February.

The company will be showcasing how its leading roll-fed printer, the Acuity LED 1600, can produce packaging samples, and how its inkjet solutions are starting to transform corrugated applications

The Acuity LED 1600 is a large format hybrid inkjet printer which produces outstanding packaging prototypes, including applications distinguished by varnishing effects and spot colours. The printer achieves a productivity of up to 20 msq/hour and excellent image quality, supporting substrates up to 1610 mm in width and rigid sheet materials up to 13 mm thick (including PET, acrylic, polycarbonate substrates and lightweight boards including mirror and fluted).

Another feature of the Acuity LED 1600 is the inclusion of six ink colours, with the addition of white and clear ink as standard. The machine can apply these in a single pass to produce premium matt and high gloss finishes.

The company will be showing its integrated corrugated solution, which is a combination of the Inca Onset flatbed platform, Uvijet inks dedicated to corrugated board applications, and an automated handling system.

Uvijet digital inks offer vibrant colours, excellent cut and crease features, and a range of finishes from low glare satin to high impact gloss that can be used for all types of corrugated applications.
