AB Graphic International will use Labelexpo Americas to launch its latest machine, the Digicon Series 3 label converting line, designed to meet the recent advances made in digital printing.

This new model is an addition to the company’s existing Omega Digicon range and, according to the company, has been designed in conjunction with the latest available technology. It was primarily driven by new and existing customers’ needs.

The machine will be unveiled equipped with a number of features including flatbed hot foiling, flexo printing, over laminating and a newly designed flatbed UV screen printing unit offering much higher operating parameters capable of delivering high production speeds.

It is available in a versatile left to right or right to left format. The maximum web width has been increased to 350 mm as well as the maximum unwind and rewind rolls being increased to a diameter of 800 mm.

One major design change has been to integrate all of the electrical controls and components, removing the need for an external cabinet, and reducing footprint.

The use of carbon fibre rollers and lighter non-stick ink cartridges, help make handling easier and wash up faster. The new machine has a host of ergonomic improvements to improve the general operation and reduce set up times significantly.

Depending on the converting options selected, modules can be supplied in rotary, semi rotary, blank web and re-register modes for processing an impressive range of substrates.

There are many more performance and technological advancements that remain confidential and will be unveiled during the show.
