A specialist in 3D design, 3D digital mock up and product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions, Dassault Systèmes has launched a new industry solution experience for consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies called ‘Perfect Package’. Based on the company’s 3DEXPERIENCE platform, it helps integrate the packaging design process across the entire supply chain to enable winning designs and faster time to market.
The packaging development process has traditionally been plagued by multiple rounds of rework, resulting in less than optimal designs. The new solution turns it into a synchronised process from end to end, integrating internal and external organisations to create breakthrough packaging in record time. Brand manufacturers, design agencies, packaging suppliers and artwork studios collaborate together to virtually create, visualise and validate innovative designs, allowing for rapid packaging repetition and decision making.
This significantly enables innovation, shortens packaging design cycles, lowers materials costs and virtually eliminates the risk of costly packaging-related recalls by creating tighter integration and control of artwork development and copy management.
