Harlequin Software digital hub has been around for over 20 years, with a tradition of providing post script and RIP services, and for the past decade it has developed technology for digital production printing systems culminating in the Harlequin digital hub.
The Harlequin digital hub is developed to drive inkjet presses and provides the tools needed to produce consistent and predictable output. It can handle all label types and can even be used when requiring personalisation and variable text, image and graphics coverage.
Compatible with Esko workflows, the software ensures accurate rendering of PDF files and is comprises a range of technologies which can be customised to provide the solution needed by digital production vendors.
Martin Bailey, CTO, said, ‘When moving to digital everything is changed, no amount of experience in flexography can guarantee that you can print digitally up to the same standard. If they want to go to digital but don’t have the expertise to do so this is where we can help. Brands want more innovation and this is what can be achieved by using inkjet printers, especially when it comes to personalisation.’
As a colour management system the software handles profiling, colour matching and colour gamuts, and brand colours, providing colour process control for a wide range of workflows.
