The Durst Tau 330 is Rako Etiketten’s first foray into the inkjet market
Rako Etiketten GmbH & Co KG in Witzhave, in Germany, has recently ordered its first UV inkjet label press, a Durst Tau 330, which was purchased from Chromos GmbH, the Durst distribution and service partner, in Friedberg.
The decision to opt for this press which features seven colour stations (CMYK and white as well as orange and violet) for UV inkjet printing was made after a series of extensive printing tests.
The company, which claims to be the biggest user of digital offset printing in Europe, will develop new applications with the Durst Tau 330 and produce mainly typical inkjet applications very efficiently and economically, commented Jacob Steeger, Rako Etiketten GmbH.
With the Tau 330, Durst has developed an inkjet system with considerable potential for future development, which has established itself in a short time for applications with high demands in industrial environments. Since its introduction at drupa last year, several users have already opted for the system in the German market.
The press will also be shown at Labelexpo Europe where Durst is introducing new low migration Tau UV inks from Sunjet further expanding its market reach.
