Domino look to show its new N-Series range at Labelexpo
Domino will use Labelexpo Europe 2013 to launch its next generation full colour digital inkjet label press, the N-Series range, signifying a step forward in digital inkjet label production.
This latest offering will deliver greater productivity, variable data printing and colour capabilities with high definition output for an even wider range of applications.
Visitors can see this latest technology for the first time in a series of live demonstrations on the stand (9F70) including integration into a working AB Graphics Digicon finishing line, as well as a separate stand alone press. An integrated AVT quality inspection system will also be on display.
Building on the success of its N600i four colour digital inkjet solution, the company’s new label press will include cutting edge technology combining the productivity of flexo with the flexibility of digital printing. In addition, the new modular solution will ultimately provide advanced colour capabilities to deliver a much wider colour gamut to suit a greater range of label applications.
As with the N600i, the new range will also incorporate a range of the company’s i-Tech (intelligent Technology) productivity-enhancing smart features, designed to increase printer performance and maintain high levels of productivity.
These include CleanCap automated cleaning and capping station and StitchLink micro-motor controller technology that enables precise head alignment, reduces set up time and eliminates stitch lines. The new press will also include the ActiFlow ink circulation system that degasses the ink for greater nozzle performance.
This new edition will be joined on the stand by the K600i single colour high resolution VDP printer, which will be integrated onto a rewinder.
The single colour K600i print solution is designed to integrate digital variable data 600 dpi print within existing sheet, web-fed presses and finishing lines and benefits from the inclusion of the i-Tech smart features.
Key to the K600i is its ability to accommodate different print widths ranging from 108 mm to 558 mm. This scalability is achieved by mounting a series of stitched print heads across a bar to cover the full width of the press or finishing line.
All of the company’s latest digital ink jet solutions on display at Labelexpo 2013 achieve production speeds of up to 75 metres per minute, double the speed of most high resolution digital systems.
Philip Easton, director, said, ‘Key to the success of our latest product portfolio is the ability to draw on our long and established understanding of ink jet technology that spans some 35 years. This combined with our ongoing commitment to R and D enables Domino to continually break new boundaries in terms of technological development to deliver the most reliable and productive solutions designed to fulfil real production needs.’
