In the coming months an opportunity to share knowledge and expertise with peers will be available at several Xeikon Cafés across Europe focusing on labels and packaging.
The idea is to provide an informal knowledge exchange platform covering the different aspects of digitalising print production, while cutting through the information overload. With this in mind, the company and its Aura Partners are inviting printers and converters to come along to local events.
Through demonstrations, presentations, workshops and discussions, participants will receive information and advice on industry innovations and trends. The events are organised in the local language so they are accessible to everyone and offer participants and speakers an opportunity for networking and business development. They will mostly take place at Xeikon customers’ sites, so equipment can be demonstrated in its natural habitat.
This spring’s cafés will focus on labels and packaging. The first one took place on April 5 at Demax DPI Plc in Sofia, Bulgaria, and attracted more than a hundred industry professionals. Experts discussed trends and evolution in labels and packaging production, while ThermoFlexX specialists gave a presentation on digital platemaking. To illustrate the possibilities of digital label printing, two case studies were presented by customers; wine labels, by Printing House Daga, and prime labels, by Demax, a Bulgarian security printing business. The second event took place on April 16 with a central theme of ‘Label’or, a digital success story’ in collaboration with Label’or, a Belgian label printing and converting business.
Events coming up will be on May 7 in Denmark, looking at ‘Web2Label Production’, May 16 in France with the theme ‘Digital production of wine and spirit labels’ and June 10 to 11 focused on ‘The transformation of a label printer’.
