Xeikon has announced that it has signed a marketing and referral agreement with Tronics, a manufacturer and distributor of cost effective, high tech machines that apply professional labelling, decorating, coding and identification marking to almost any container.
Tronics has a long standing history in the field of heat transfer label applicators; it was in the forefront of developing this market. Until recently, heat transfer labels were only produced by means of flexo or gravure. Today, with the need for faster turnaround and shorter run length, there has been a demand for digital printing.
‘Plastic containers such as tubes, cartridges and buckets can be decorated by heat transfer labels as an alternative to direct print and IML (in-mould). In North America, heat transfer labels is a dominant decoration process. Producing these labels digitally provides a fast turnaround solution, with high quality decoration,’ said Filip Weymans, director Segment Marketing and Business Development Labels and Packaging at Xeikon. ‘With Tronics’ expansive experience in this industry, coupled with the Xeikon Heat Transfer Label Suite, label printers can deliver labels with unparalleled image quality while increasing their profit margins.’
