The Screen Truepress Jet L350UV+ LM
Hauer Etiketten has invested in a Screen Truepress Jet L350UV+LM, its first piece of Screen equipment, and the first low migration ink model to be installed in Austria.
Martin Hauer, CEO, commented, ‘The decision to invest in Screen technology was based on a number of key factors. Most importantly, the print is of the highest quality compared to its competitors in the industry. Secondly, the low migration features of the press open further opportunities for our business in short-run food package labelling. The customer service we have received from Screen Europe and its Austrian partner MCA Pro has been first class, with very professional technicians and good all-round communication and efficiency during and after installation. Also significant are the quicker delivery times; less complicated realisation of serialisation or numerous variations of a label; and the overall added benefit of the haptic experience of the ink.’
Mr Hauer continued, ‘Demand for labels is growing, so we were looking to extend our portfolio. Short-run jobs and jobs with a high number of variations will be produced in a fraction of the time of conventional printing with this new equipment. Customers want more variety in design and size of labels, whilst demand for visual impact is also growing. We are now able to match the changing requirements of the market in a more effective way.’
‘The feedback from Hauer Etiketten has been very positive. The delivered low migration solution – a combination of new Screen LM ink and a special curing process under inert gas – is opening the door to completely new applications for the food packaging industry,’ said Martin Strobel, managing director, MCA Pro Austria.
