With nine nominations resulting in five wins and an honorary mention across four industry awards, CS Labels has been adding to its trophy cabinet this year.
As well as winning for its digitally printed labels and pouches, including taking the Digital Labels and Packaging category at the FlexoTech Awards, the company was rewarded twice for its business growth, as the Digital Printer Awards 2018 crowned it SME Business Initiative of the year and PrintWeek handed it the 2018 SME of the Year award.
The digital printing house has expanded significantly in the past 12 months, doubling its footprint by investing in a new dedicated manufacturing facility in response to increased demand and setting up in-house pouch converting, plus expanding the team. The Digital Printer judges praises the company’s strategy, saying, ‘The clear five year plan demonstrated growth in scale and profitability, developing the confidence to invest comprehensively for the future, including a new site.’
Managing director Simon Smith said, ‘We never stand still and 2018 has been no exception. I wholeheartedly congratulate the CS Labels team for their dedication, resilience and team spirit; we couldn’t have done it without your energies. I look forward to 2019, which will mindfully capitalise on the firm roots we’ve put down in the new building this year.’
‘Exciting times has been a constant theme since I joined CS Labels nearly 10 years ago,’ said operations director Adam James. ‘We’ve achieved so much as a team in a tough market, and these awards enable us to step back and recognise the fruits of our labour.’
