FINAT has revealed the programme for its European Label Forum 2019, using the keywords ‘Talent, smart and sustainable.’ Taking place from 5–7 June in Copenhagen, this year’s forum will discuss the key challenges facing today’s label and narrow web packaging industry.
In addition to providing the latest market data on labels and packaging, the forum will host a number of speakers, who will debate a wide range of topics. Hamish Taylor, an expert on innovation and branding, will give the keynote presentation. Mr Taylor’s talk will explain how looking outside our current environment can help change the way the industry understands its customers.
A further topic will be New Retail, which is transforming the traditional retail world and opening up possible new business models. Global trend watcher Wijnand Jongen, author and founder of the e-commerce association Thuiswinkel.org, will talk about what this transition of retail means for its value chain and how suppliers such as label and package printing companies could become enablers of new business models. The closing speaker will be author Fredrik Härén, who will discuss business, creativity, change and global business.
A new feature for 2019 will be the converter-only roundtables, taking place on Wednesday 5 June. For the first time topics that are strategic to the future of the European label and narrow-web packaging industry will be discussed in a roundtable format, with participants rotating between four to six tables during half-hour sessions.
Finally, the conference will end its opening day with the FINAT Label Awards Ceremony, showcasing the best of self-adhesive label printing and narrow web manufacturing.
