A new colour tabletop label printer has been introduced by AstoNova. The QuickLabel QL-120X is built on the company’s Kiaro! Platform and comes with a two-year warranty.
Described as a flexible, high-quality, efficient solution for on-demand digital colour label printing, the QL-120X features economical, high-capacity ink cartridges and dye-based inks.

Equipped with next-generation printhead technology, the QL-120X prints three times more labels (over the life of the printheads) than the original QL-120. Four individual, snap-in, colour printheads allow for fast on-site changeover, eliminating replacement downtime or costly printer refurbishment. The printer and printhead technology are covered under a two-year standard warranty.
The QL-120X prints labels from 12.7 to 107mm in width on a wide variety of media types ranging from matte to high gloss paper and synthetics, in a resolution of 1200dpi. It comes with CQL Pro softwarefor designing, managing and printing labels, and offers a savings of up to 35% over competing pigment ink-based technologies, says the company.
It also features a native printer driver and utility for Windows, allowing the printer to be deployed in a wide variety of business operating environments with its built-in network functionality.
