Start-ups, academics, students and innovators are invited to apply for the latest RadLaunch Tech Accelerator programme, organised by RadTech, the non-profit trade association for ultraviolet (UV) and electron beam (EB) technologies.

Now in its third year, RadLaunch Tech Accelerator makes cash awards, travel grants and outreach opportunities available for novel work with UV and EB processes. RadTech noted that new innovations in materials, optics, design and data are propelling UV and EB in additive manufacturing/3D printing, inkjet, food packaging, automotive, medical and electronics applications.

RadLaunch was introduced in recognition of the growing importance of the technology with the digitisation of manufacturing and requirements for safe, clean, rapid processes.

This year, RadTech has expanded the competition to include the use of UV for disinfection, partnering with the International Ultraviolet Association (IUVA) Americas Conference. IUVA focuses on public health and the environment, with a special focus on water, food and beverage, and healthcare. K-12 Rising Scientists are encouraged to apply for special recognition of their work with UV or EB.

RadLaunch 2020 finalists will win cash and trips to speak and present at the RadTech 2020 and IUVA Americas 2020 conferences.
