Fibre-based substrate specialist Stora Enso has commenced the recruitment process for a new CEO following Karl-Henrik Sundström’s decision to step down from the role next year.
Mr Sundström will continue in his current role for the time being and will leave Stora Enso during the first quarter of 2020. The exact date will be communicated once a successor is in place.
Mr Sundström joined Stora Enso in 2012 as chief financial officer and took on the role as divisional head of the company’s paper and wood products businesses in 2013. He assumed the role of CEO in August 2014.

As I am turning 60 next year, it is now time for me to hand on the torch to a successor who will continue to lead our journey.’
