Spain-based label specialist Syseam has invested in a Screen Truepress Jet L350UV+LM, the company’s first Screen press as well as being the first of this model to be installed in Spain.
The investment in low migration technology has enabled Syseam to meet increased label safety demands as well as reducing product lead times.
Santiago Nebra, general manager at Syseam, noted that since installing its Screen Truepress Jet L350UV+LM, the company has been able to improve its productivity whilst adapting to strenuous market demands in terms of quality and safety certifications when using low migration inks.
Jaume Rafols, production director at Syseam, added, ‘Delivering industry-leading production speeds, the Screen Truepress Jet L350UV+LM ensures that we can complete jobs faster than ever before. With the ability to increase our throughput, we can now meet current and future customer needs in terms of quality, production time and regulations such us, EuPIA Swiss Ordinance or Nestle Guidance, with much less pressure.
‘Beyond this, we can also print short- to medium runs at very competitive prices regardless of the number of colours used. In addition, the low migration inks do not generate any type of odour on the label that can potentially affect the accompanying product. This is especially relevant in markets including cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and food. As a result, we can offer very high-quality products that comply with the most current food and pharmaceutical safety regulations.’
Nebra continued, ‘When selecting our new press, one of our main requirements was colour consistency and print quality. The Screen Truepress Jet L350UV+LM excels in this regard; it combines both speed, quality and colour into one, making it the optimal choice for label production. In fact, it paves the way for us to enter new markets and target customers with a strong demand for colourful short run, attention-grabbing labels, variable data and versioning. We are proud to satisfy the most exigent safety regulations together with the most modern equipment in Spanish label printing industry.’
Santiago Pérez, from Rotocon, Screen’s reseller in Spain, said, ‘Syseam is a perfect example of how print providers can continue strong growth using Screen business-enhancing solutions. We’re delighted that it is the first Spanish company to invest in the L350UV+LM and we see exciting times ahead for the business.’
A new white paper, ‘The reality of low migration production’, is available through Screen at Labelexpo Europe 2019, where low migration and the Truepress Jet L350UV+LM are highlighted.
