The organiser of drupa, Messe Düsseldorf, has commenced a world tour to highlight vitality evident in the print industry and promote the next edition of the global print show.
drupa 2020 takes place 16-26 June next year in Düsseldorf, Germany. The world tour leading into the trade show kicked off on 10 September in Mexico City. In September 2019 alone, seven more conferences and events will follow in Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, Canada, Brazil, Chile and Argentina. By April 2020, events will have taken place in 12 Asian countries, the US, Eastern Europe, a number of EU countries and in North Africa.
In total, 35 events will be staged in 27 countries across five continents as part of the drupa world tour.
drupa director Sabine Geldermann said, ‘We are looking forward to exciting meetings with industry experts, journalists and representatives of local media partners, industry and trade associations.’
Delegations consisting of CEOs from various printing press manufacturers and representatives of Messe Düsseldorf and world tour co-organiser PrintPromotion GmbH will present at the events. They will discuss trends in printing and paper technology, present innovations in the graphics industry and package printing, and will inform about innovative applications in the field of industrial and functional printing.
Dr Markus Heering, managing director at PrintPromotion and VDMA’s Printing and Paper Technology Association, said, ‘Our aim is to arouse some fascination for the applications and possibilities of modern printing technologies in an increasingly networked world and to make experts want to visit drupa 2020.’
