Avery Dennison has introduced a one-roll service programme in Europe, ORUS, intended to reduce development costs and open up new opportunities to the continent’s label converters.
To be presented at Labelexpo Europe 2019 as part of the company’s presence at the show, the one-roll unique service (ORUS) programme allows European customers to order a single, 1000m-long, first roll of any 1m product combined with any Avery Dennison adhesive technology. The service is intended to reduce the development cost for innovative labelling applications and make inventory more manageable. It also gives flexibility to test new ideas and business opportunities without taking on new inventory, according to Avery Dennison, as well as reducing handling, transport and associated carbon dioxide emissions.
ORUS is presented in ‘World of Imagination’, one of four areas of discovery on the Avery Dennison stand at Labelexpo Europe 2019. The ‘World of Imagination’ area also includes the company’s portfolio for digital inkjet printing, including durable materials for water-based and UV inkjet, and available in low minimum orders suitable for smaller runs; and M_use, an online platform that offers label design inspiration, industry insights and future trends.
Ralph Olthoff, global marketing director for wine and spirits at Avery Dennison, said, ‘In our World of Imagination, visitors will see the latest ideas and collaborations, from the aesthetically inspirational to the cleverly functional – with an overall goal to create excitement, conversations and new ideas for the future of labelling.’
