Inkjet Solutions is to distribute Colodryne’s aqueous pigment inkjet engines in selected markets outside of the US after the two companies entered into a partnership.
Inkjet Solutions is now to distribute Colordyne’s aqueous pigment print engines throughout the UK, India, Canada and the UAE.
Colordyne recently announced the development of a digital inkjet print engine using Memjet’s DuraFlex printhead technology. This single-printhead engine offers full-colour, CMYK aqueous pigment inkjet production running at speeds up to 45m/min.
Customers can work with Inkjet Solutions to retrofit this new digital inkjet print engine onto existing equipment. For customers interested in a standalone system, Inkjet Solutions offers complete labelling machines through its partner Daco Solutions or can work with other OEM machinery upon request.
At Labelexpo Europe 2019, Inkjet Solutions is launching the 332mm CMYK i-JET2800, a Colordyne aqueous print engine with a print resolution of 1600 x 1585dpi. This system is available for retrofitting to existing machinery, or as a stand-alone unit with converting options.
John Richardson, managing director of Inkjet Solutions, said, ‘We recognise the market’s need for an entry-level, single-printhead technology with the benefits of aqueous pigment inkjet. Label and tag converters can take advantage of the enhanced durability and high-quality production at an affordable price point.’
For larger production volumes, Inkjet Solutions will offer Colordyne’s 3600 Series AP systems. The 3600 Series pigment print engines use a single printhead for each colour channel, CMYK plus optional spot colour. This system can print at faster speeds and offers additional configuration flexibility.
Colordyne noted that as an expert in retrofitting monochrome and CMYK inkjet print engines, Inkjet Solutions is the, ‘ideal partner to represent Colordyne’s aqueous pigment technology in new regions and markets outside the US.’
Andy Matter, president at Colordyne Technologies, said, ‘Familiarity with digital inkjet retrofits provides seamless integration of the new print engine into Inkjet Solutions’ product offerings. Plus, together we can deliver this technology to more regions and markets.’
Also seen at Labelexpo Europe 2019 is the 220mm CMYK i-JET600 UV label printing module, mounted on a high-speed semi-rotary converting system from Daco Solutions. i-JET720 Embellish is demonstrated on the Prati stand applying a textured varnish.
