Following its move into Europe earlier this year, ePac Flexible Packaging it to commence production at its site in Silverstone, UK in late October.

Built on an all-digital printing concept utilising HP Indigo technology, ePac is a full-service flexible packaging company offering a fast time-to-market of just 10–15 days from artwork approval until finished roll stock and pouches are shipped. After rapid expansion in the US, ePac Holdings Europe was formed to establish the business on the continent.

As the company’s first European site, ePac UK Silverstone is centrally located near the Silverstone Technology Cluster and the famous Formula 1 circuit. The new purpose-built facility will house machinery for the production of flexible packaging to order, and the site is designed to scale up quickly with HP Indigo 20000 digital presses in operation from day one, complemented by best-in-class lamination and pouch-making equipment.

Johnny Hobeika, managing director of ePac Holdings Europe, said, ‘ePac is disrupting the traditional packaging market – not only by offering fastest delivery – but also by enabling brand owners to engage directly with their customers through marketing promotions, such as seasonal and regional campaigns. And with no minimum orders, even the smallest brands can deliver on quality and shelf appeal.’

Nick Monk, sales director, UK & Ireland, and managing partner at ePac UK Silverstone, added, ‘The state-of-the-art site at ePac UK Silverstone will showcase our unique concept. It is not just about delivering the highest quality flexible packaging – that is a given. We don’t focus on the technology, because we know we have the best in the industry. Our focus is on maximising the efficiencies to offer the best value for the client. Our USP is fast delivery enabled by an agile operation, which is based in the local market that it serves.’

Mr Hobeika concluded, ‘We are incredibly excited to announce that ePac UK Silverstone will be opening its doors in just a few weeks’ time. I have been in the industry for many years, and it is clear to me that people are eager to engage with this new business model. We are truly set to change the game.’
