Spain-based tube packaging specialist Tuboplast has adopted HP Indigo digital printing technology to augment its printing services.
Tuboplast is a member company of CTL-TH Packaging Group. Headquartered in Miñano, Álava, it has many years of experience in creating tube packaging options for the cosmetics and personal care sector.
Tuboplast is using HP Indigo 6800 and 20000 digital presses to improve its printing services by incorporating IML technology for flexible plastic tubes. Moreover, CTL-TH Packaging has adopted these technologies in order to provide its customers with value-added products, and enhance the quality and consistency of tube decoration. It is also helping its customers differentiate their products, through high-quality decoration, new metallic and holographic designs, and high added-value security applications such as serialisation, watermarks, mosaics and augmented reality. The resulting tubes are claimed as 100% recyclable, using a PP-based monomaterial
Laurent Nevejans, CTL-TH Packaging sales and marketing director, said, ‘We opted for offset digital HP Indigo technology due to printing quality and accuracy, as these are key features for our products and customers. The high level of flexibility this technology offers enables us to do shorter runs, aligned to market demands. HP Indigo is a recognised brand in the digital printing industry, and we have partnered with the company for all these reasons.’
