Mark Andy has introduced a new tool designed to allow those investigating their next digital printing investment to streamline the analysis and selection process.
The company’s digital press scorecard allows data relating to digital press performance and other metrics important for an investment, to be collated in one document. This includes considerations such as the consumables and curing technologies involved, maximum production speed, digital white opacity capability, application range, cost and revenue predictions, maintenance considerations, and upgrade options and the vendor’s technology roadmap.
The downloadable scorecard comes preloaded with key metrics relating to Mark Andy’s Digital Series HD and Digital Pro platforms, such as a visible print resolution of 1200dpi for both and a pay-as-you-print price structure. Digital Pro presses are also available with a click-charge pricing model. Digital Pro is the latest addition to Mark Andy’s digital offer.
This gives printers and converters a framework to compare various OEM options, side-by-side, noted Mark Andy. In promoting the digital press scorecard, the press manufacturer stated, ‘With many manufacturers, configurations and general industry buzz, we hope you use this resource to take a few steps out of your digital selection process and identify clear front-runners in the process.’
