The Delta Group and Mercian Labels have completed the speaker line-up for next week’s Digital Print for Brand Success Conference, taking place 21 November in London.
Martin Shipp, chief operating officer at The Delta Group, will discuss the company’s investment in and application of EFI inkjet technology for corrugated package printing, realised through the purchase of a Nozomi C18000 single-pass press – the first of its kind in the UK.
Dr Adrian Steele, Mercian Labels managing director, will speak on ‘Automating workflows: current progress and future challenges’. Whilst digital label printing uses increasingly mature and well understood technologies, the real challenge in taking advantage of digital print is automating complex order patterns. Covering the past 15 years of using Xeikon digital print technology in a mixed digital-flexo environment, his presentation will cover challenges to automating order processing, raw materials, tooling and pre-press before the digital print engine, and post-print finishing and transport to deliver complex, high quality custom printed labels as efficiently as possible.
Other speakers on the day include: Sean Smyth, technical editor, Whitmar Publications; Jen Newell, head of realisation, Pearlfisher; Alexis Tonneau, project manager graphics – sustainability, Kurz; Steve Osborne, managing director, Osborne Pike; Alberto Kechler, Mondelez International; Johnny Hobeika, ePac Holdings Europe; Jenny Cairns, innovation and sustainability manager, ButterflyCannon; Ester Takacs, head of packaging development, Quorn Foods; and Bill Hine, managing director, Hine Labels.
