Those in the package printing industry are set for a busy 12 months, with countless trade shows and conference scheduled for 2020.

Headlining for many is the return of drupa, taking place 16-26 June in Dusseldorf. Known as the ‘Olympics of the print industry’, drupa takes place once every four years and welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors to Messe Dusseldorf for 11 days where almost 2,000 exhibitors are waiting.

Just prior to drupa comes the next instalment of interpack. Running 7-13 May in Dusseldorf, interpack welcomed 170,000-plus to see 2,865 companies at its last instalment in 2017. This year, expect similarly big figures.

The next Fespa precedes both of these across 24-27 March in Madrid, Spain. Fespa Global Print Expo 2020 is claimed as Europe’s largest international speciality print exhibition, where over 600 exhibitors will showcase their latest innovations and product launches for the digital and screen printing sectors for graphics, signage, décor, packaging, industrial and textile applications.

Running 24-26 November, InPrint Milan follows on from this year’s show in Munich to highlight the latest developments in print technology for industrial manufacturing.

easyFair’s portfolio of packaging events also return, with Packaging Innovations and Label&Print running at the NEC in Birmingham on 26-27 February, and then in London across 23-24 September. The Print Show 2020 takes place 27-29 September, back at the NEC in Birmingham.

Further afield are the likes of All in Print China 2020 in Shanghai (12-16 October) and K Print 2020 in Seoul, South Korea (2-5 September).

Labelexpo Americas 2020 is co-located with the inaugural Brand Print in the region. Launching earlier in the year in Southeast Asia, Brand Print is a portfolio of events developed by the organiser of Labelexpo Global Series, Tarsus Group, targeting the branded print market and aims to connect the whole print supply chain.

With a similar mission, and after a successful debut this year in Dallas, Texas, Printing United will move to Atlanta, Georgia from 21-23 October and cover more than one million gross square feet. Pre-show registration for Printing United 2020 has already topped 6,000 attendees.

Also returning in 2020 is the Digital Print for Brand Success conference in London, which strives to connect the supply chain to help maximise the true value and potential of digital print.
