New-look printing business Corporate Tabs & Labels has detailed how a Focus Label Machinery d-Flex has helped the business hit the ground running.
Corporate Tabs & Labels has been created by the coming together of Corporate Supplies and the former managing director of Last Bros, the Cheshunt-based business that closed its doors in July this year. This saw Last Bros managing director Jason Hennigan look to continue servicing the company’s clients by joining forces with nearby business Corporate Supplies and its owner, Tony Bloomfield, so creating Corporate Tabs & Labels.
Last Bros had invested in the Focus d-Flex modular hybrid inkjet press early in 2018. The press has now been transferred to Corporate Tabs & Labels, which formally came into existence on 1 August, and is housed at the company’s 185sqm site in Cheshunt, Waltham Cross.
At the time of purchase, the press was configured for future growth with two flexo stations and CMYK UV inkjet running the latest KM1800i printhead, supplied by Industrial Inkjet. It also offers full finishing inline so production can be modelled to suit varying products and applications.
This has allowed the new company to offer the same service as Last Bros had done prior to its closure.
‘It is the versatility that really impresses,’ noted Mr Bloomfield. ‘The first three months have been incredibly busy and the addition of the d-Flex has really enabled the business to get off to a flying start.’
