Taiwan’s TCI Co. Ltd has invested in an HP Indigo 20000 digital press to expand its use of customised packaging, produced in-house.
TCI is a global provider of health food and skincare products. It is described as a ‘rapidly growing company’ that develops and produces tailored health food and skincare products, focusing on private labelling, including the expanding market trend of beverage sachets and facial masks. TCI today serves over 1100 brand partners in 54 countries.
The company is adopting HP Indigo digital printing technology to expand packaging production with a more flexible, customisable and sustainable option for its worldwide brand customers. Digital printing will enable each package to carry a unique ID to enable brands to engage with customers through multichannel communications. The investment in digital package printing technology is also part of a strategic move towards bringing packaging production in-house.
TCI has purchased its HP Indigo 20000 for flexible packaging via HP Indigo channel partner GrandTech. The digital press is to be installed this month at the company’s facility in Pingtung.
TCI chairman Vincent Lin said, ‘The new HP digital capabilities will enable TCI to deliver products with personalisation to attract consumer loyalty as well as the flexibility to fit brand requests. We want to offer products each with a unique ID to enable unlimited imagination when connecting to the internet.’
Mr Lin continued, ‘We pride ourselves on being a green manufacturer and focus on building a circular economy, sourcing renewable energy, and achieving net-zero carbon emissions.’
Oran Sokol, director and general manager, HP Industrial business, Asia-Pacific and Japanm said, ‘TCI’s move embraces the power of HP Indigo digital printing, offering a twofold disruption of the flexible packaging market with variable data printing for engaging personalisation and print security, in addition to the incremental benefit of a more sustainable solution.’
