UK-based printing equipment manufacturer Edale has named Timur Sakanci as its new agent for Germany and Turkey.
Edale noted Mr Sakanci, managing director at Keey, as having, ‘a growing network and strong knowledge and understanding of the market and prospective customer base.’ He will be promoting the full range of Edale’s products and services.
Darren Pickford, sales and marketing director at Edale, explained, ‘We have an increasing number of customers in Turkey and Germany who have our Edale printing presses. Joining forces with Timur as our local agent will boost our presence further. It’s important for us to have the expertise and local knowledge to help us reach more businesses and promote further our FL range of products to new and existing customers.’
The appointment marks a significant phase in Edale’s work to grow the business internationally, and provide print and packaging options to customers all around the world. Further developments have seen Duncan Sargeant join as sales manager for the UK and Ireland, while the company turns 75 this year.
Mr Pickford continued, ‘2020 will be an exciting year for Edale with our expanded network and worldwide events planned to showcase our new technology and products.’
Mr Sakanci said, ‘I am looking forward to partnering with Edale, a market leader in the flexographic printing industry with an impressive history. It has been designing and manufacturing printing presses for over 70 years. I’ve seen first hand its products and service offering, which will have great appeal to many businesses throughout Turkey and Germany.’
As well as manufacturing flexo presses, Edale has interests in inkjet and hybrid printing as an engineering company and through the EFX Print Bar, a UV-based inkjet system designed to digitise print finishing and embellishment.
