IPIA and BAPC are joining forces to help their respective members look to the future, and to continue to grow and thrive.
On 19 March, the two associations will host the ‘Where do we go from here?’ conference, where expert speakers will offer answers to this question. The day will also serve as a platform for focused business networking.
Speakers will come from the supply chain and beyond, and include representatives from Vivid Laminating Technologies, Fujfilm, Konica Mnolta, Fedrigoni, and the UK Government Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS). They will address cover topic as varied as leveraging big data, understanding print buyers and connecting with them, through navigating environmental legislation and new trading relationships with global markets, to mental health awareness.
IPIA – the Independent Print Industries Association –is a not-for-profit print industry membership association. IPIA’s membership is made up of trade printers, OEMs, sector suppliers and professional print buyers. BAPC – the British Association for Print & Communication – is a trade association for the print and creative industries. Its membership is likewise comprised of OEMs and sector suppliers, in addition to business-to-consumer printers and service providers.
IPIA general manager Brendan Perring said, ‘We understand that our members need support to help them efficiently manage and grow their businesses. The things they find helpful and the information they need is reflected across the needs of the BAPC membership, so it makes sense to work in collaboration.’
Sidney Bobb, BAPC chairman, added, ‘The effort and focus that both groups put into achieving an outstanding service for their members makes this a natural fit.
‘Our first collaboration is set to be a highlight of the print industry calendar this year. We have speakers that will be both entertaining and thought provoking, around a central theme reflecting the current business climate.’
The conference takes place at Shendish Manor Hotel & Golf Course, London Road in Hemel Hempstead. Further details are available here.
