Antalis Packaging has delivered packaging boxes to Help NHS Heroes, a campaign in the UK to ensure NHS staff and other key workers at hospitals have access to food.
Help NHS Heroes is setting up pop-up shop/distribution points across the country at hospitals specifically for NHS staff. This is intended to help them access food and other essential items at a time when they are finding this can be a challenge.
Help NHS Heroes launched at Lister Hospital in Stevenage, UK. Antalis Packaging supplied the launch with 1000 packaging boxes, which were delivered the same day that the request came in.
Holly Jackson, sales manager at Antalis Packaging not only coordinated the delivery, but also volunteered in the Lister Hospital pop-up tent to make up food parcels for the day and help with their distribution. The food parcels contained enough food for two days and were distributed to key workers at the hospital.
Ms Jackson said, ‘We sprang into action for this worthy cause with the supply of boxes, tape and tape dispensers to help the charity assemble food packages as easily as possible. We are very proud, and honoured to have played a small part in managing to put a smile on our NHS heroes’ faces at this very difficult time.’
Antalis will continue to support Help NHS Heroes and is currently looking at how it can improve the boxes for future food distribution with the aid of hand-holds so that the boxes can be carried off-site with ease.
