CHILI publish, a creator of software for smart artwork and marketing material creation, has released Chili publisher Online, making its feature-rich, online document editor available as a service.
CHILI publisher is professional online editing software for printers who want to self-service customers via web-to-print (W2P). This means customers can create, edit and procure a print-ready PDF by working with Smart Templates in their browser. Any original graphic is turned into a Smart Template – a document that fixes brand must-haves but leaves room for visual or textual adjustments. Edits and approval are the sole responsibility of the customer, reducing the burden on pre-press departments and opening up greater possibility to generate extra revenue through creative iterations.
CHILI publisher Online has been developed in compatibility with Microsoft Azure to supply service providers with Cloud-based collaborative technology to ensure business continuity and/or optimisation via W2P platforms.
It is available in four different tiers: Starter, Business, Professional and Private Cloud. These tiers are based on usage and SLA level required, from small companies or teams getting started (Starter), to enterprises and global brands (Private Cloud), and mid-sized growing companies (Business) and companies who service large customers (Professional).
Each tier includes: full access to all features, modules and APIs; automatic product updates; Cloud elasticity for instant scalability; and CHILI publish Connect, providing full access to the CHILI partner community.
CHILI publish noted that it has instigated a software-as-a-service (SaaS) architecture to allow a broader base of printers and agencies to access the capability of CHILI publisher as a W2P enablement module. By working with Microsoft Azure, the Cloud computing service created by Microsoft for building, testing, deploying, and managing applications and services through Microsoft-managed data centres, CHILI publish noted that it has sought to optimise agility in W2P environments, where a plethora of martech tools need to communicate and collaborate on many levels.
CHILI publish CEO Kevin Goeminne said, ‘Now is the time for W2P to seize its moment. But in order to differentiate with print output quality and application range, printers need to supply online users with an outstanding customer experience. By offering our browser-based solution in the Cloud, we hope to service a broader range of W2P service providers that are investigating the SaaS approach to secure business continuity or accommodate business elasticity. We’re helping them manage the service so they can manage their business.’
John Arnsdorf, who was recently appointed as product marketing manager at CHILI publish, commented, ‘Technology can no longer stand in the way of business optimisation for printers. CHILI publisher Online delivers a future-proof front-end, with native Cloud functionality optimised for Microsoft Azure. It eliminates costly infrastructure investments or system maintenance and is ready to do what it should do within any W2P setup. It is the most scalable, most advanced online editing solution out there.’
