Industry veteran Wim Koning has joined Spain-based corrugated machinery specialist Macarbox as its new sales manager for Germany, Switzerland Austria and the Netherlands.
Macarbox manufactures converting machinery for corrugated board. As well as a corrugator line and folder gluers, Marabox’s portfolio includes DPM, a high-speed single-pass drop-on-demand large format printing machine. Running water-based inks, DPM can print at 80m/min, in up to eight colours, and at a resolution of 360 x 360dpi/720 x 360dpi. The machine can handle a maximum board size of 1600 x 3500mm, a board thickness from 1.5mm to triple corrugated board, a print width selectable and upgradeable up to 1600mm.
DPM is complemented by LCD, Macarbox’s digital laser cutting offer for laser cutting and creasing of corrugated board. Also a high-speed single-pass system, LCD can handle sheet sizes of 1600 x 3500mm, and thicknesses from 1.3mm up to double corrugated board.
Such technology sits well with Mr Koning’s experience, which includes positions with Xerox, HP Indigo, Screen Europe and Highcon, over a career spanning three decades.
