Stora Enso has appointed Katariina Kravi as executive vice president, head of human resources, as it seeks to transform the culture and values of the company and its employees in a move towards a circular bioeconomy.

Ms Kravi has joined Stora Enso from Tieto, a Nordic software and services company, where she served as chief people and culture officer. Previously she has held several HR management positions at Nokia.

Ms Kravi noted, ‘Stora Enso’s mission to replace fossil-based materials with renewable products contributes to the circular bioeconomy, something that is important to all of us. Human resources is a key driver in transforming any business and help define the success factors for company culture, values and individual growth.’

Starting in her new role on 1 September, 2020, Ms Kravi has also become a member of the Stora Enso group leadership team.
