UK trade printer Baker Labels is using a Nanovis Bella DC-1300 parts washer to maintain its HP Indigo 20000 digital press.
Bella DC-1300 is a 1340 x 800 x 1530mm unit designed for manual cleaning of ink tanks, application rollers and other parts from an HP Indigo press. It uses an HP-specific Imaging-Oil during the cleaning process.
A continuous brush enables quick and easy removal of ink residues, while an integrated recycling system cleans the Imaging-Oil and recirculates it. Nanovis notes this promotes economical and sustainable operation of the unit. Low emissions mean no air extraction is necessary, so the system can be installed flexibly and operated without further protective measures.
An HP Indigo 20000 digital press was installed at Baker Labels last year as part of its move into trade flexible packaging, and is the cornerstone of the company’s BakPac division.
Baker Labels has noted that with the Nanovis Bella DC-1300, the time taken to clean an individual ink tank has reduced from 15-20 minutes, to five minutes. Across seven ink tanks, this equates to around a 90-minute saving per cleaning cycle.
