South Africa’s Impress Print Services (IPS) has invested in the newly upgraded Rotocon Ecoline RDF 330 to enhance its finishing of digitally printed labels.
Durban-based IPS chose the Ecoline RDF 330 after conducting a thorough investigation into offline finishing machines for digitally printed labels, and to complement its digital press’ capabilities.
Ecoline RDF 330 has been extensively upgraded by Rotocon with enhanced slitting, stripping and rewinding capabilities, alongside other enhancements. The machine at IPS also includes a semi-rotary print station, the first time this has been included in the RDF 330 machine design.
Suhail Agjee, co-director at IPS, said, ‘We contacted Rotocon because of its well-established installation base in the local market, the company’s reputation for balancing value-for-money machine reliability, and quality with a Durban-based service team of two technicians.
‘We started negotiations and soon realised that the team could meet our requirements, including matching the specifications and pricing of a semi-rotary print station to help us save on printing plate costs.’
